Bon Voyage!

After months of planning the day finally arrived for Nicole and Danika to leave the country for their holiday to Europe and England. We drove them to Perth and picked up Janelle before going to the airport. (Sarah stayed home to study for her exams this week).Today they were flying to Singapore at 3.55pm with a 3 hour stopover then onto Athens arriving tomorrow around 2pm our time.

After they checked in we said our goodbyes and they went to wait for their flight...

We went and had a cuppa and some cake and waited for Mum & Dad J and Sue & Nick to arrive so we could farewell them on their trip to Bali. They departed and hour after Nicole...

On display at the airport is another cow from the "Cow Parade" display in the Margaret River/Busselton areas. This one is called "Till the cows come home" and has roads and houses painted on it...

Only 24 sleeps until its our turn!

Warmth

With the lovely season of Autumn coming to an end and the nights getting very cold it was time to light the fire for the first time this year...

The warmth was very much appreciated!

Braces Off!

Today was very exciting for Sarah as she finally got her braces off. So she has gone from this...

To this in 12 months...

We are all very happy with the result and her lovely new smile...

Janelle made it the front page of the "Midland Reporter" for her work at Teddy Hospital. She said a man took her photo but didn't know which paper he was from. Lucky Kym spotted Janelle in the article...

Bird watching

This afternoon the cockies paid us another visit. They are so noisy but its fun watching all their antics.

They hang in the trees and a scratch around on the ground...

Then all of a sudden they take off...

Mother's Day weekend

Janelle came home on Friday for another weekend home. We took her car into Hyundai to get the window fixed and radio recoded. Got the radio done now have to wait for window part. It's a slow process getting everything fixed on her "new" car! On Saturday we got another load of firewood. After lunch Peter, Janelle and I went for a drive to Busselton. Sarah stayed home to do homework. We had a lovely afternoon tea for Mother's Day with Mum and Dad J and Sue and Mara...

Janelle decided to spend some time spinning in her skirt and managed to get quite dizzy...

Then had a photo shoot in the backyard...

I couldn't resist getting this shot of Dad J's TV setup next to his new leather rocking chair (love all the remotes lined up and the radio in case TV gets boring)...

We all gathered for breakfast today for Mother's Day...

I opened some lovely pressies...

Did some baking (which wasn't the best today)...

Janelle and I sat down for a while and watched some of the movie "Chocolat" which made Janelle suddenly crave chocolate so as we were the only ones home (Peter playing golf and Sarah at work) we went to Taffy's and got ourselves a treat. Yummy with Berry and Green tea Janelle got me for a pressie in Grandma's tea cups...

Then we all went out to Nicole's to indulge in her afternoon tea of cupcakes and scones with jam and cream...

Sadly Janelle then had to go back to Perth.
