We found another suitable tour to do! It was a boat cruise off Singapore through the port and out to some islands on this boat...
It must have been able to seat over 100 people and caters for all sorts of functions but on this trip there was just 11 of us plus crew on it so we were more than happy to be able to wander wherever we wanted...
| Going past Sentosa Island |
Impossible to get a photo but there are 100's and 100's of ships in the port...
It was a great trip which we all enjoyed. Look at this lovely lady fussing over Dad J - Mum J "hope he doesn't expect this treatment when he gets home!"...
After lunch and a rest we took them shopping at Chinatown. It was hot and busy but we all had fun poking around the cheap shops...
Then it was back down to Clarke Quay to find a "steak" for dinner which we managed to do...

And had a toast to the end of a great holiday...
As it was our last evening I still wanted to go up to the top of the Marina Bay Sands to look at all the lights. We took Dad J back to the motel and the 3 of us caught a taxi over, didn't have to queue and went straight up to the top. The views were fantastic with lights all the way to the horizon. We also got to watch the "Supertrees" light show from above...
People were still swimming in the infinity pool...
Next morning we had a few hours to fill in and a few last minute things to buy - we had lots of fun shopping in this Japanese $2 shop - so many knick knacks...
I also found a great craft shop - the lady is cutting some fabric for me...
So then it was time to head back shower and pack up our mess for the trip home...
Farewell to our breakfast eating spot...
And the lobby we often rested in...And checked out...
We had an awful ride in a mini van to the airport with the driver seeming to have trouble keeping the steering wheel straight and going all over the road. We checked in our luggage and reclaimed some GST on a few things we had bought. All was going well until Dad J suddenly collapsed on the floor. It was a mad panic to get some help luckily a fellow passenger was a nurse and other people called for help. An airport nurse came to treat him and he came round but quickly lapsed back into unconsciousness. It was very scary but with some oxygen Dad J started to respond. Luckily the medical centre was very close by and he was taken there. A doctor was called and he had various tests and was assessed. All sorts of airport staff were trying to sort us out as we needed clearance to be able to fly and the flight was on standby in case they had to get our luggage off. Finally the doctor issued a clearance to fly certificate and we were all bundled on a shuttle and rushed to the plane with everyone seated and ready to go! (thats the 2nd time in 3 months we have been last on the plane!)
It was a relief to touch down in Perth then we had the 2 hour drive home and arrived at 3am. It was a great holiday with good laughs and we are sure they enjoyed themselves.
