October Happenings

A few things that went on in October. Janelle is an ambassador for the "End Polio Campaign" which involved her doing things like a Flashmob dance in the city, going to various meetings and also a small article was written in our local paper...
She also had another ball to attend, this was the Trinity one with a 1920's theme and Janelle won "Best Dressed Doll"...We attended Danika and Justins engagement party. Nicole is her bridesmaid in 2013. Nicole and Daniel all dressed up...Nicole and Danika...Sarah had a sudden urge to sew in between studying for exams and added this lovely blue bag to her handmade collection...Peter, Nicole and I went up to Perth for the Meatloaf concert. As much as we love the music and songs he sings I don't think he will be touring to Australia again as he just can't reach those notes. The concert was still good as his band and support female vocals were fantastic...Sarah had her last official day at school before exams...After much thought and decision making Nicole finally decided to buy herself a big flash Canon camera which she absolutley loves. Sarah and Nicole had a play with both her new one and mine with poor Daniel being the subject...

Los Angeles

Nicole and Ant spent the last week of their 4 month holiday in LA. They visited Universal Studios...
Toured down Wisteria Lane (Desperate Housewives set) Susan's house... A plane crash scene...Jaws...Saw the famous sign...Strolled up Hollywood Boulevard...Bumped into 2 band members of the Black Eyed Peas... Went to Disneyland...Went to the famous tattoo place LA Ink (lucky it was closed)...And took a bus ride down to Santa Monica... Then flew from LA to Auckland NZ spent 8 hours in the airport before flying home to Perth. Yay I have finished blogging this trip!!!!!!!!!!

Contiki

Nicole and Ant flew to Los Angeles from New York to start a Contiki tour. The tour started in San Diego with highlights there being a trip to Seaworld and a baseball match...
Then they moved onto Phoenix...Got up very, very early to go hot air ballooning at dawn...Explored the outback in Sedona...Then went to probably one of Nicole's favourite places of her trip.. The Grand Canyon...They went for a helicopter ride over the Canyon which bought tears to her eyes...They travelled on the famous Route 66 for part of the tour...Next stop was party town Las Vegas and party they did...A visit to a wedding chapel...Paris in Las Vegas...Hotel from a favourite movie The Hangover...Drinking on the streets because you can!...Limousine ride to a club...After a few hard days in Vegas they went out ot Bass Lake and also spent a day in Yosemite National Park...The tour then ended in San Francisco. The Golden Gates Bridge remained under fog so they couldn't get a good photo...Resting spot for the seals which apparently stinks...Corn dog...
