This weekend Peter, Janelle and I took a mini break down to Denmark. We had brief stops in Manjimup and Walpole before arriving around 2.30pm. We checked into our motel - the Koorabup which was very rustic inside and had lovely views over some bushland...
We went for a drive to Singlefile Winery and had yummy afternoon tea there...
After a bit of a drive around we got changed and went to the beach...
This is Wilson Inlet which they opened earlier in the week with a small gap and let nature take its course to let the water flow into the ocean. It was amazing how big the opening had become...
That night we met Kyle and his parents Robin and Mark for a lovely dinner at Willoughby winery. Janelle went and stayed with Kyle and his family. Next morning we drove out to see their property and horses and had a cuppa. Then Kyle, Janelle, Peter and I went for a drive to the Cheese Factory for an early lunch...
We shared a very yummy platter of different cheeses and condiments....
After that we drove to the Honey Meadery and sampled some very nice honey, wine and icecream and came away carrying a few jars and bottles. We then bid farewell to Kyle and Janelle and drove home stopping at Donnybrook for some fruit and vegies.
Janelle stayed in Denmark for a few more days. Then weather fined up and they went and climbed Monkey Rock and enjoyed the great views over William Bay National Park and Ocean Beach...
And of course did some cooking - beetroot gnocchi - not sure that it was a hit...
Janelle caught the bus home.
