Pippy

Yesterday was a very sad day for us with the death of our beautiful little boy Pippy. We chose him from the pet shop in 2003 when he was such a tiny baby budgie. Nicole was at the height of her mad Lord of the Rings phase and she wanted to call him "Pippin" after one of the characters, which soon became "Pippy". We handled him from day 1 and it soon became very clear how much he loved being with us. The girls taught him to talk and his constant chatter was always in the background.He had many quirky little habits and he loved to rest his beak on your nose for a "cuddle"...Do face inspections...
Try different foods...
He loved cheese...And always had his daily piece of apple...Loved to play under the water...
Help with homework...
Admire himself in cutlery...And greet you when walking through the back door...He was also very inquisitive...
RIP our little Pippy...

Bali

Janelle went to Bali for a week just after Christmas. She went with 5 of her friends and they stayed at the Bali Rani Hotel and Spa, this is the pool they spent a lot of time in...
A few activities they got up to were shopping at the markets...A bike ride from Kintimani to Ubud visiting temples, rice fields and a tradtional Balinese house. They had breakfast first overlooking mountains...A dinner in Seminyak watching the sunset...Followed by a night out at the Havanna Salsa Club...Went to the Safari Park...Enjoyed some traditional Balinese food...Dined at Bubba Gump Shrimp - a Forrest Gump themed restaurant...Saw in the New Year at the Oceans 27 Club at Kuta... Had a great time white water rafting...Apart from some terrible cases of Bali Belly for all of them, they still had a good time. Janelle has been unwell since getting home and don't think Bali will be on her destination list to visit again!

Hello 2012

Sun setting on 2011...We went over to Jean and Gordons and had a nice night chatting and laughing and saw the new year in with them. With the parents not home Sarah hosted a few friends for some drinks, dancing and time in the spa...
Nicole and friends went camping for a few nights at Glen Mervyn Dam near Collie...Janelle welcomed the new year in at the Oceans 27 Beach Club and Grill in Bali...Happy New Year!!
