Sarah's Holiday Part 2

Sarah and Georgia flew from Dublin to Athens for the second half of their holiday...

Hello Greece!

View over Athens

Acropolis

Streets of Athens
Once again they joined another Contiki group in Athens to tour the Islands. One of Sarah's favourite things about Greece was the beautiful Mediterranean food...
The first Island they went to was Mykonos - apart from the lovely scenery the only word they have to think about here is PARTY...

Although they must have stopped partying for a while to get some lovely photos and explore...

Little Venice

Next Island was Santorini...
Having their feet cleaned by little fishies

Red Sand Beach

Black Sand Beach

Party, party  and more partying and seeing the sun rise on many days...

Sarah enjoyed her donkey ride...

The third Island they stayed at was Ios - by now Sarah's days of partying etc had caught up with her and illness had set in but she still had a good time...
Then it was back to Athens for one more night before flying out to Dubai and then onto Perth and sitting in the airport for a few hours waiting for us to land from Brisbane and drive home. Another great adventure experienced.

Sarah's Holiday Part 1

Back in July Sarah and her friend and travelling buddy Georgia took off to London for another adventure. Having already explored London on previous trips they just decided to stay for a night. On our last trip I had found this 3 storey health shop called Whole Foods. That was Sarah's first place to visit and stock up...

They did a few visits back to favourite places...
St Pauls Cathedral behind brown building

Tower Bridge

Georgia was keen to visit the famous cross walk on Abbey Road...

From London they flew to Dublin and joined a Contiki tour and did an 8 day tour of Ireland. This took them from Dublin - Londonderry - Galway - Cork - Kilkenny and back to Dublin...

Temple Bar Dublin

Travelling through the area known as Giants Causeway on the  northeast coast of Northern Ireland...

Londonderry

They visited Belfast and signed the peace walls that separate the Catholic and Protestant neighbourhoods...

They were also in Belfast when the mens singles final for Wimbledon tennis was on. Everyone was cheering Andy Murray on ( he won). The temperature was hot for this area (mid 20's) and Sarah mentioned all the Irish were getting sunburnt!...

Galway

Fresh juice in Galway
Cork

Aran Islands

Sarah said the scenery was spectacular along the coast and they got to enjoy it with perfect weather...

They had a great time in Ireland and were ready for their next adventure.......Greece!
