Father's Day

A toast to 27 years of wedded bliss on August 30th...
So it was over to Busselton again this weekend to wish Dad J a Happy Father's Day. We went on Saturday as Peter wanted to stay home on Father's Day. Nick had been out and collected a huge trailer load of wood for his inlaws so Peter helped him unload it (under supervision!)...

Dad J has got his woodwork mojo back and has been busy making a new dining table...
How can men possibly know where everything is ???...
After most of the wood was unloaded we sat down with a cuppa and ate this...
We had a nice family breakfast on Father's Day. Nathan made his debut in family self timed photos and Daniel was visiting his family...
Pancake tossing
What goes on behind my back...
Janelle made Peter a tray of fudge. It weighed about 5kgs and is very difficult to eat - there will probably be some left for next Father's Day!...
Nicole spent ages going through old photo albums and having a laugh...

Later in the day Peter had a little play around undoing a few things on Mildred. He didn't get far but worked out we need a definite plan of attack when we go to pull her to bits...

Few years of built up muck
He put it back together and is happy enough that she should come apart OK...
And a nice afternoon walk in the wind followed by a disgusting meal of Thai takeaway capped off a nice day...
Some snippets from the garden - this Bird of Paradise flower is always spectacular...
And we are loving an abundance of flowers on our  Cherry Blossom - only wished they lasted longer...
