Party

Nicole had another party at her place this weekend - this time celebrating hers and 2 friends birthdays as they have all been in the last 2 months. They hired 2 slushy machines...

Drank heaps...

And partied hard (as usual)...

Happenings

Janelle came home from Perth with all her "stuff" which we had to sort out and store away for a few months. She also had a bit of a cleanout in her room, she even parted with a horse calendar from 1999...

Peter bought himself an early Christmas present which he had to assemble with a bit of help...

Janelle returned home after a mini getaway down to Denmark to stay with Kyle and his family, she had a great time enjoying the sights (and of course Kyle's company!)...

We planted a "Flowering Plum" tree in the patio area ( just hope it doesn't get too big) and look forward to beautiful pink flowers next spring...

Peter and I went to Koombana Bay beach for a "have a go" day on a kayak. We tried a few and it was good fun, something to maybe investigate further...

Observing one lazy dog...

Enjoying lots of salads with bio-dynamic eggs recommended from a workmate...

We haven't seen much of Sarah lately, she has been working long days at the Pharmacy as they shift into their new shop or she is out socialising with her friends. Janelle is also working fulltime at the Pharmacy this week to help with the move.

Exams

Yesterday Janelle finished a very intense few weeks of end of year exams and study. So now she is 1/3 of a doctor. Today she is out shopping to celebrate! Her room during study...

Yesterday was the start of Sarah's exam week, she had English Literature, then has Economics followed by Human Biology and next Monday is Chemistry. Luckily they had their Maths one earlier in the term with the year 12's. She is trying to study but is easily distracted!...

Roll on Summer holidays!

Cactus

When our orthodontist fits braces on his patients he gives them a pot plant - strange combination but that is what he does! When Sarah got her braces on 18 months ago he gave her a dead looking cactus in a hanging basket. It sat around for a while and almost got tossed out. Eventually we hung it in the patio extension and noticed it had started to grow a bit so we gave it a bit of TLC. Well today it rewarded us with a magnificent hot pink flower...

Just beautiful!

Happenings

Dad came and stayed with us for a week. His 25 year old curtains had fallen to bits when he washed them so we had to go and find some replacements. He FINALLY settled on some he liked and I had the job to hem them. So I gave him the job to pin them first, not an easy task for a male...

We went to Perth last Friday for Peter to see a customer and for Dad to get his Lodge apron fixed. We called in to see Janelle first and gave her some muffin and freckle supplies to help with her studies then dropped Dad off at his shop. Peter and I then went to his customers house and while they did their business I spent some time in their wonderful garden...

On Saturday we had another look in a caravan that we like, just need to win lotto first...

Dad went home later Saturday via Narrogin for a Lodge meeting and we had a cleanout in the garage - hard to believe Sarah was pushed around in this little dolls pram by Janelle...

It was also time to say goodbye to the Christmas tray and Buddha...

It all started when Rodney gave me the brown mug (that I think Mum won at badminton) for a Christmas prsent many years ago. Because it has a very narrow top he didn't like to drink out of it. So the next year I gave it back to him with "FIG JAM" on it and so he gave it back with a tea bag and it all just snowballed going backwards and forwards between us to what it is now. But the novelty has worn off, it was fun but time to go...

The buddha I made in ceramics 22 years ago and along with the tray has been passed between us dressed in different outfits and accessories.
