More Mud

Having completed "Mud Rush" a few months ago Janelle was keen to try the much longer "Tough Mudder" -
its a 20km event help all over the world with around 18 obstacles to challenge you both physically and mentally. Some of them include crawling through mud under barbed wire and electric wires, crawling through a cage of water with 20cm breathing space, climbing 3m high Berlin walls, 'walking the plank' off a 4m ledge into mud, jumping into a 5cm 'arctic enema' bath at zero degrees getting to the other end before you freeze up! climibing over mud piles, through tunnels and hay bales, monkey bars, balancing on beam poles and climbing a huge half tube called 'everest' where you run and leap and trust people to grab you and pull you over. All through a lovely farm with wheat fields and bushland/river near York :) it took us 3.5 hours to finish and you get a tough mudder orange head band which everyone wears with pride -  as described by Janelle.
Janelle met up with a group of uni friends to do this challenge...
