Turning 23

Today we celebrated Janelle's 23rd birthday. She had to come over yesterday for work at the hospital so she decided to stay and we went out to dinner at The White Elephant Thai restaurant...

When we took the dogs for a walk this evening we got to witness an amazing cloud formation. It is as if the sun has cast cloud shadows over more cloud - quite spectacular... 

Within our walkies time of about 40 minutes the sky had transformed into a stunning sunset...

So much beauty to be seen by sometimes looking up!

Turning 19

With Sarah celebrating her 19th birthday without us in Thailand, we had a little celebration when she came home...

 We all went over to Busselton and had a "high tea" with Nan and Pop and Sue...

 With 3 dogs as well...

It was a lovely morning although Sarah was still feeling very unwell from picking up something in Thailand and all Nanna's cream cakes being just a little bit rich for her stomach - but we all indulged!

Sarah and her friend Amelia jetted off to Thailand for 10 days of fun before they settled into university for the year...

They flew into Phuket via Singapore. They joined up with their fellow Contiki travellers and spent 3 nights exploring Patong Beach. The first day was spent island hopping on a boat.

They then moved to Ao Nang, Krabi, where Sarah celebrated her 19th birthday with Happy Hour by the pool followed by dinner then out to Chang Bar...

Lucy

The dogs had great fun down the beach yesterday with the water lovely and calm. Lucy had just had a good roll in the sand and whatever muck she had sniffed out. I love this shot I managed to capture of her leaping through the air... 

So much fun at the beach!

Today was a different story! She had to have surgery to remove some moles that had become inflamed. One was on her right shoulder and another on her left back leg. She also had other areas shaved for a drip and fluids. The annoying part was that they were only inflamed because she kept chewing and scratching at them and her little habit cost us $700!!

But we still love her :-)

Aussie Day weekend

We didn't get up to much this Australia Day and didn't even make it to the fireworks in town just watched a few over the back fence. We did enjoy a tiny pavlova courtesy of the farmers market... 

 Nicole and Daniel hosted a party in their backyard...

They made a massive slippery slideon the back lawn and spent the day mucking about on that, drinking and listening to the Triple J top 100...

We shifted Janelle over to her new house for the year in Busselton. She was very happy and looking forward to cooking up a storm in the kitchen...

 Sarah went to Perth with Georgia and Amelia and had a great day at the Big Day Out concert...
