Kalbarri Day 3
After a bit of a sleep in (mornings were freezing!) we drove out to Red Bluff. We did the 3km walk trail to Mushroom Rock...
This is it...
The walk was very scenic along the coast and cliffs, always following the little white posts...

We also saw Castle Rock...
And The Natural Bridge...
After lunch and a rest we went to our next adventure...Safari Quad Bikes. As Sarah has her drivers licence she was allowed her own bike. First up was helmet fitting...
Then the bikes were bought out of the shed and lined up for us and we were given all our instruction on safety etc...
then off we went through all the bush tracks and down along the river...

After a while we stopped along the edge of the river (a place called Nanny Goats Well) and had afternoon tea, so quiet and peaceful...

Then off exploring again...
We were all filthy at the end from the dust but it was a great day out.

Kalbarri Day 1 & 2
We left Bunbury just before 9am and headed north to Kalbarri. It rained most of the way and it was good to see so much greenery everywhere. We also saw a lot of rainbows...
We took the new coastal road passing Yanchep, Lancelin and Cervantes. We stopped at Jurien Bay for lunch...
Then Geraldton for afternoon tea before finally arriving at 6pm. We found our house we had rented for the week, it was nice inside (before we messed it up!)...

Next morning we got to see our lovely deck area out the front...
We wandered into town and bought ourselves some food and went to the local tourist centre to check out what activities were available. It was very quiet everywhere. After lunch we drove out to the National Park to see Natures Window. The scenery is spectacular and also has some greenery after all the recent floods...

We then walked down to the Murchison River and wandered along the riverbank...
Spotted some wildlife...
Wondered how some things grow in awkward places...
And saw how high the flood water came with all the debris left around the trees...
Then we went to the Z Bend lookout and once again enjoyed fantastic views...
Then we had a feed of fish and chips before settling down and watching the movie "The King's Speech" and having a quick chat to Nicole in Nice France on skype.

June Happenings
A few things that filled the month of June...
I started my new job with a company called Quality National Team, I never know where they are going to send me and ask me to do. One of my first jobs was to hang posters in 3 stores, so much fun climbing ladders in front of customers! I had to hang these ones in JB HiFi...

Sarah and Megan had a photo shoot in their respective school leaver's jackets...
Dad J had minor surgery which led to all sorts of complications and 2 trips back to hospital in the ambulance (not to mention his dislike of hospital food!)...
Janelle came home for a few days of study before exams...
Sarah has been producing some great art pieces for her visual art course at school...
Enjoyed a few lovely hot spas on cold winters nights...
Our winter garden is supplying us with brocolli, lemons, cauliflour, kale, beetroot and Janelle picked the last of the basil and made some pesto...

We celebrated Dad J's 86th birthday at Broadwater Restaurant and got to have cuddles with baby Ethan...
Janelle finished her exams and before coming home she went to the Perth Upmarket at UWA and got herself a beret and some yummy cupcakes...
