After it was filled with lovely stinky mushroom compost Lucy decided to remove some, put it on the path and have nice roll............so into the bath again.
Now that the evenings and mornings are starting to get much cooler it was time to think about wood for the fire. We went out to the firewood supplier and got 3 trailer loads. The wood is lovely and dry from the lack of rain.
Peter chopped it and stacked it all in our little wood "old cubby house".
We have spent a lot of time trying to decide what type and colour paving to use on the new patio area that is being created from removing the pool. It is going to be a big job pulling up all the old ones and getting it all level and compacted. After much discussion, arguing and shifting pavers around we decided on a colour called "oakford" with a border of "ironbank".
I spent some time inside (with a clean Lucy) and had a tidy up of my clothes.
Next job for Peter was pruning all the palms as greenwaste day is next week. He also cleaned out all the gutters and drainpipes for when the rain finally arrives.
This week we have also been up to the high school to have parent teacher interviews. We saw 3 of Sarah's teachers. They all spoke very highly of her and said what a fantastic and charming person she was. She is also doing great at her school work (and has the most amazing handwriting). We were very pleased with all their comments :) Well done Sezzles!
Later that evening we went out to Nicole's house as they were having a spa and transformers party. She had bought this transformers mask off e-bay which changes the sound of your voice to Optimus Prime. So we all had a turn wearing it then left them to their party animal ways! We then went for a drink at the Smith's house and also enjoyed toasting some marshmallows on their outdoor fire.
Today for Mother's Day lunch we went to Sarah's favourite little cafe called Sears. We all enjoyed a lovely lunch.
Followed by some delicious desserts.......
I got given some nice gifts - a book by Mary Moody, the 2 Natural Temptation cookbooks ( all the recipes from the local cafe by the same name), some flowers and a "golf" charm for my Pandora bracelet. I will only be adding the charm to the bracelet when I get my first par.
Sarah was busy during the day and made some homemade wagon wheels which we ate for afternoon tea. They were very yummy. Janelle missed out on sampling them as she had to catch the train back to Perth :(
So another lovely Mother's Day comes and goes and I think about my own mother who I miss very much.
They enjoyed the day out in the lovely May weather. As we were getting into the car we saw this lovely tree in flower (not sure what it is called). The smaller flower will soon burst open to be as beautiful as the larger one.
We also got the bobcat man to dig out our new vegie patch.
Lucy is still not impressed that her favourite place on the decking has gone so has taken to lying on the sand which makes her filthy and ends up inside.
Sarah was very pleased with herself making this pillow case. She did a great job.
It actually looks quite empty now so we will put in some new plants when all the other mess is sorted out.
Firstly we used a pump to drain the water. Peter assured me that there were no chemicals left as he hadn't put any in for a while so we poured it onto the garden. I few days later I noticed everthing turning a nice yellow. It was then he realised maybe the ph level in the water was probably still too high. My poor little lemon tree has almost no leaves left on it either. I am not impressed.
Lucy has always loved to sunbake on the decking and is not happy now it has all been removed. Bella was just grateful to finally get to explore what was underneath. 
With the decking removal complete it was time for the lining to be removed. We had hoped to try and sell the pool but there was too much corrosion and it couldnt be pulled apart easily.
On Sunday 26th April we had our lunch in the pool before the last bit was demolished.
Next to go were the limestone steps and wall the fence was attached to. They came apart surprisingly easy and Peter was able to salvage them for reuse. 
So this is what we are left with for the moment. Now the fun part of what to do with it. Peter has been busy trying to organise a bobcat to fill in the hole, soakwells for water drainage, patio quotes and we have also been looking at paving bricks. At the moment the dogs love getting in there so they are bringing lots of dirt inside so we have fenced it off again. It will be fun when this lovely weather ends and the rain sets in and it all turns to mud.
