Pool removal update

Now that the pool is gone we have spent a lot of time contemplating what to do with the area and making sure we do each step right. Peter has been working out how to deal with drainage from the new patio we hope to have constructed. As the water level can be a problem here he decided to put in 3 soakwells.

After phoning around trying to get someone with a bobcat to fill in the pool and most saying we would have about a 5 week wait, Peter was lucky to find a guy who digs swimming pool holes. So he had a hole to do this week and just dumped the sand from that place to ours so we saved money on buying our own sand.

We also got the bobcat man to dig out our new vegie patch.

Lucy is still not impressed that her favourite place on the decking has gone so has taken to lying on the sand which makes her filthy and ends up inside.
