Sunday was a very miserable day but mid afternoon it took a turn for the worst when an unexpected storm passed through. We were blasted by winds equal to a category 2 cyclone. It left a trail of damage and many homes without power for days. We went for a drive around and had a look at some of the damage...
The roof on the toilet block at Payne Park oval where we used to do Athletics blew off into the fence and over the road...
We had some excitement in our street with a huge tree going over and bursting water pipes with it and then pulling on power lines. We had lots of men working to fix it all and as we have the water hydrant on our front lawn we were in amongst it all...
We just lost some fencing as did plenty of other people.
