Off we go!

After much planning we finally got to pack and head off on our holiday. We left Bunbury just after 8pm on Wednesday night and drove up to Perth. Parked the car and joined the queue to check in. Had a cuppa then went through customs. Sarah kept getting rejected and had to go through 3 times after she kept finding stuff in her handbag she hadn't declared. We eventually took off for Singapore just after 1am. After a 2 and a half hour stopover in Singapore we boarded another plane for the long haul to London. It was an awful trip with quite a bit of turbulence and none of us got any sleep. After nearly 14 hours on the plane we made it to London only to join another queue for an hour to get our passports stamped. Luckily we had arranged to be picked up and taken to our accomodation in Kensington/Earls Court.

Small things amuse small minds as we tried to entertain ourselves ...

Our unit in Earls Court was very English and old. It had 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with kitchen, lounge and dining area so we could spread out. The Earls Court train station was only 200m away and the street had all the litlle food shops we needed including a very handy little Marks and Spencer.

So after days of no sleep we all crashed into bed.
