We then caught a train to Covent Garden Markets. It was very nice looking through all the stalls we also had lunch here. Sarah indulged in a very yummy strawberry tart...

We then headed off to find Harrods.

It was very busy in this huge shop with the annual sales on. It was also very expensive but we managed to find ourselve a few souvenirs (Harrods teapot, some tinned lollies and Harrods golf tees). We also found the shrine to Diana and Dodi...

We took our Harrods shopping home and had a rest.
Then we caught train to Kensington. Found Kensington Palace where Princess Diana used to live. The front gardens looked very messy.
At he back of the Palace is a lovely building called The Orangery where they serve afternoon tea and meals.
As it was so hot we had a table inside, complete with a minature orange tree as the centrepiece. We had a lovely English afternoon tea...
We then sat outside for a while and watched the squirrels running around and being fed almonds by a man...
Time for a walk through Kensington Gardens which then merges into Hyde Park. Ted hadn't been out yet in London so he soaked up some sun in Hyde Park...

There were so many people out and about. We found the Princess Diana Memorial Fountain which is a huge circle of flowing water designed for children to enjoy. The water was very cold!
It was such a lovely evening so we decided to have arest and do some people watching. My quilt came in handy.
As our time in London was coming to an end we still had 2 things left I wanted to do, one was a pub meal so we went to the one on our street (didn't have bangers and mash though!)

After a huge tea we were all ready for bed but I couldn't leave London without my ride in a black cab! So we walked down to our local shop to buy some water and decided to wait 5 mins to see if a vacant cab came. Luckily he did but he misunderstood our instructions to take us just up the road to our appartment and went flying past. Our "short" ride lasted 20mins and cost us 20 pound AND we left the water in his cab so we had to walk back and buy some more! Hope no one was watching us!
We did enjoy the ride. It was then time to repack the suitcases for our next adventure and meet up with Nicole!
