We still got the early wake up call like everyone else but as we had no flight, bus or boat to catch we could have a bit of a lie in. We had a late breakfast and were the only people in the room set aside for tour breakfasts - did feel kind of sad. We packed up our cases and killed a bit of time on skype while we waited for our taxi over to the apartment. There was a huge triathalon on around the Eiffel Tower and lots of roads were closed so we had to be dropped off on the opposite side of the Tower and drag our suitcases and excess luggage through the crowds of people - it was a tad embarrassing! Anyway we made it and waited for Morgan to come and let us in. We were very pleased when he told us it had had a refurbishment and now had 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets (for obvious reasons!!) and a new kitchen...

After Morgan had left and we had done a bit of unpacking Peter and I went for a walk to get some groceries and lunch. When we got back Dad told us the good news that he had left his passport and paperwork in the safe back at the hotel! So we made some phone calls - luckily someone spoke English and waited for them to call us back. We then had to travel by train all the way back to the Marriott and deal with security and get everything back. Good on ya Mr Bean! Having dealt with that we got back on the train and went to the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens...
We then caught the train to my favourite bridge Pont Alexandre 111 - it is so beautiful with all its opulence...
We then walked over to Place de la Concorde. Parts were blocked off for the upcoming Bastille Day celebrations and the end of the Tour de France but the fountains were still going...
Worn out again and winding down for bed when someone decides to do late night washing - wont mention any names.
