Paris with tour group

A bit later start for the day. First up was a ride to Montmartre. It was wet and cold and way too early in the morning to be visiting this normally bustling place. Hardly anything was open and luckily one shop that was open did a great trade of umbrellas because we all bought one. We took a few photos of  Sacre Coeur Basilica and had a quick walk through and spent the rest of our time looking for a toilet. No luck but a restaurant was open so Dad stormed in asking for a toilet - he got told off by me for not using his manners to the French - his excuse was "desperation".

 Back on the bus with our french tour guide for the day Nicholas (who really did love himself) and off to the Louvre. We drove underneath the Louvre to where all the buses park OMG there were so many buses we couldn't even get a parking spot. Once we eventually got inside it was packed...

 Nicholas took us on a tour ans showed us many paintings and artworks - you wonder what some people were thinking when they painted...

We joined the crowd trying to see Mona Lisa - thats her on the back wall. We managed to push our way through and get close...

 Glad to be out of the Louvre we went for a drive around Paris , past the Arc de Triomphe to the Eiffel Tower. We had a group tour photo taken before joining the queue to go to the 2nd level on the Tower...

We had a few minutes to spare so we rushed over to show Dad the apartment we would be staying in for the next week...

 We drove up the Champs Elysee on our way back to the hotel. We went for a walk then had a bit of a rest before getting dressed up for the cabaret show. I wore my new dress Janelle had given me for Mother's Day (thanks Nelly :) )...

 We couldn't take photos of the show which started after a lovely meal. I got to try Foie Gras for the first time which was quite nice (if you don't think about how it is produced). Our table was right next to the stage so we certainly got a great view (well maybe even a little too much) of all the topless dancers.

It was a great show and I really enjoyed it. When we returned back to the hotel it was sadly time to say our goodbyes to everyone. We met some great people and with such a small number on the tour we had got to know everyone quite well. We will be keeping in contact with a few of them.
