Nice Eze Monaco & Monte Carlo

With lots of places we wanted to see we made an early start and walked to the local bus station. We caught a bus to the village of Eze. It is a medieval town situated high on a clifftop. It is a bit of a climb to the top through the winding lanes and stone shops.

There are all sorts of little shops and restaurants. A great place for photography...

I especially love this shot Nicole took...

We went right to the top lookout and cactus garden. The view wasn't very clear as the cloud was very low...
And a few silly shots...

After a bit of lunch (with a friendly mouse) we caught the bus on to Monaco. We got our bearings with the help of a map and went to Casino de Monte Carlo...

We took turns having a look inside as Sarah wasn't allowed in. Nicole had a little flutter and was very happy with a small win...

We then walked all around the Monaco Port amazed at all the money that is obviously spent here...

Once again it was very hot and humid but we kept walking to a lookout area which had great views over Monaco. We were actually walking along the roads that the Monaco Grand Prix is held on...

We found this for Janelle but he is a bit big to bring home for her studies...

We went on a little train tour which showed us a few famous sights of the area...

It was then time for some shopping and a strawberry tart before we caught the train back to Nice. We bought some food for tea and had that in our apartment. Janelle, Sarah and I then went for yet another walk to see if the markets were on which they weren't.
